Private Room # 2: Perfect for a small family, it offers a queen bed and a twin-sized youth loft bunk with cozy, lodge-style furnishings. It accommodates 2 adult people and 1 youth/small adult.

This classic roadside inn, nestled in the heart of the Sierra foothills, has been "home" to travelers for over 85 years. Our staff treat all of our guests like family, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We keep guitars, pianos and ukuleles in our restaurant for our guests to play and our decks are adorned with a menagerie of cute succulent plants.

Our small, cozy rooms are equipped with standard amenities including a private bathroom/shower, Smart TVs, complimentary WIFI, a coffee maker with coffee and tea, air conditioning, heaters, soap, shampoo, power adapters with device charging ports, as well as towels and linens. Guests have the option to enjoy hundreds of free streaming channels or access their personal premium channels by logging in with their own accounts.

In order to keep rates low, we do not provide microwaves and mini-fridges in our rooms. However, for guests who require these amenities, we have a kitchen and laundry unit available for booking. This unit is equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, freezer, electric range top, electric grill, full-sized microwave, air fryer, blender, various pots and pans, dishes, cups, utensils, and everything else typically found in a kitchen.

Furthermore, guests can utilize the laundry facilities in this unit, which include residential-sized laundry appliances. All of these offerings are accessible for a small additional daily charge.

Although we are happy to accommodate pets, we charge an extra $30 per stay for pet-related cleaning to avoid allergic reactions for upcoming guests. This additional fee not only covers the cost of additional cleaning but also enables us to maintain a pet park behind the restaurant, offer complimentary poop bags, and manage pests that pets may attract.

Gena's classic roadside motel was built in 1939 and is part of the fabric of classic American history. The design and layout of our inn is typical of that era with small rooms and quaint accommodations designed for budget minded guests who needed a place to sleep before continuing on their way to the National Parks. Central California is the birthplace of the "Motel". We have retained that philosophy by continuing to offer economical units for budget minded guests who need a safe, inviting place to sleep and don't need unnecessary amenities.
